SSBA

The Officers and Board of Directors of the South Suburban Basketball Association would like to thank the parents, players , coaches and especially the Hickman Mills School district  for their continued support of SSBA.

This year we will celebrate our 42nd year of existence and with your support it will be as successful as in years past.

The South Suburban Basketball Association was established in 1969. It is a non-profit organization that promotes fairness and discipline in the field of basketball for youth ranging from age 6 to age 14. Preparation and actual organizing of league and tournament play is done on a voluntary basis, primarily of parents and friends of the South Kansas City area who may or may not have children playing in the league. However, participation by parents and friends who do not reside in South Kansas City are welcomed and encouraged. The Association relies heavily on outside sponsors and internal fund-raisers to support the league. Entry fees, fund-raisers and sponsors assist the league in the purchasing of uniforms, balls, goals, trophies, and payment to referees and scorekeepers. South Suburban's primary concern is to aid our youth in the development of mind and body... to alleviate juvenile delinquency and to build strong families. Education is the key to success in every endeavor, and SSBA is confident that exercising the body triggers the exercising of the mind, thus producing better citizens now and for the future. SSBA would like to thank all volunteers, sponsors, the Hickman Mills School district and especially the parents and players in our efforts to enhance the community.
